My Story-Finding Strategy

I must admit that I have been reading fan fiction for a long time. I think it might be almost 8 years... though I'm not sure about the exact year I started. It began because of the lack of enough pocket money to spend on lots of books so I saved my pocket money once I discovered fan fiction.

The problem is... I run out of fan fiction to read fairly quickly and have gone through most of my favourite shows (Anime and Live Action) and books. The one that is always expanding is Harry Potter. So that is the one I can still find new stories in. This is understandable with Harry Potter's universe being so wonderfully easy to manipulate into almost anything. But guys... at least 6 years of reading Harry Potter fan fiction means I have read most of the easy to find ones on my favourite sites! So to find new, potentially interesting and good stories I have come up with a strategy:

1. Find a story that you REALLY like (ie not just good plot but well written etc.)
2. Read the stories that are by the same author. (more stories! WHEEEE)
3. Look through THEIR favourite stories! Most fan fic websites have places in the people profiles that show what stories they have favourited! Theres more stories for you!
4. Go to their favourite authors and see if you like any of their stories and start the process over again.

This strategy keeps leading me to new stories. My favourite is finding ones that would not have come up with my type of search criteria.

Just one thing... Favourite the good stories you find! Maybe someone will find more good stories thanks to you! <3
